Check-in/Check-out and Travel Information for Admitted VSA Students & Familes

Please look at the information for your session as there are different check-in and check-out dates & times for each session.
For students who are traveling alone by air, VSA staff will arrange to meet students at the Nashville airport and transport them to campus.  Transportation fees apply for this service: $50 round trip or $25 one way.  A week or so before the start of your session, you will receive an email with travel instructions. It will indicate names and contact information of the VSA staff members who will be at the airport as well as what to do upon arrival at the airport.  See your session section below for flight-scheduling guidelines.
A note on official “Unaccompanied Minor” status:  Airlines have widely varying policies and age-limits on this.  Check with your airline to determine whether or not they will require “UM” status for your child.  Fees/restrictions often apply and could cause delays at travel times if a required fee is unpaid.
Students who are traveling by air with a family member will be responsible for their own transportation to/from campus either by cab or rental car, both of which are easily accessible form the airport terminal.  A transportation form detailing this information will be included in your VSA Welcome Packet.
