APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Incomplete Applications will not be reviewed. Make sure you include all required materials (please submit all materials together when possible).

____Admission Application, completed and signed
____Copy of ACT, SAT, or PSAT scores (first-time students or returning students who have retested)
Or Admissions Portfolio for students without qualifying ACT, SAT, or PSAT scores
____Application Fee  $35 non-refundable, required for ALL applicants
____Tuition Deposit $300 on a separate check or money order
____Essays, completed and signed
____Prerequisite Transcripts (for “Special Topics in Math” applicants)
____Financial Aid form (if applicable)

____ Med School 101 and Law School 101 Supplemental Materials (if applicable)
           ____Transcripts

          ____Resume

          ____2 Letters of Recommendation
VSA does not require a reference form for the 101 recommendations.  Instead, ask
recommenders to write a letter of reference, preferably on school letterhead.
Recommenders should return the letter to you in a sealed envelope which they have                   signed across the seal.
Select persons who can address your ability to perform in a fast-paced
academic environment; your interest in the field; and your general
intellectual motivation.  Additionally, if they wish, they may also address
                  character, maturity and responsibility.

CLASS PLACEMENT
Applicants should rank their class choice in order of preference, with 1 indicating your first choice.  We will make every effort to place you in your first choice class.  However, classes fill very quickly, so we do often have to place students in lower-ranked classes. Please note that applications for Med School 101 and Law School 101 will be considered in a separate, competative admissions process.

You could be placed in any class that you rank.  Thus, you should only rank classes that you are willing to take.  Waiting lists will be maintained for applicants whose course choices are full; however, there is no guarantee that spots will open up in a class.  Deposit checks will be held, but not cashed, when students are placed on a waiting list.  Deposit checks will be cashed upon the student’s admission to a class or returned if the applicant does not gain admission to the program.
